In honor of Black history month, we are offering this birding program focused on using sounds to identify birds and how this skill among others was used by people like Harriet Tubman on the underground railroad.
This program will include a short discussion followed by a short walk and time at the bird blind.
Length: 0.75 miles
Trail Difficulty: Easy
What to Bring: water, snacks, hiking boots/shoes, and comfortable and weather appropriate clothes.
Optional: map, hiking/walking sticks, binoculars, camera.
Meeting location: Nature Walk trailhead.
Fee: $5.00 per adult 13 years of age and older, $0.00 for Texas State Park Pass holders and children between the ages of 5 and 12.
