Hike to the Ruby Mine in the Organ Mountains. The mine is a closed mining claim in Dona Ana, New Mexico. You will hike to the remains of a house, called the Topp Hut (also Spring House), and then continue on to the mine site. There are some mine shafts and old mining equipment to view. Please exercise great caution in and around the mine.

This will be an out and back hike of around 4 miles. It is rated moderate. There is no fee. Bring 2-3 liters of water, snacks, sturdy hiking shoes/boots and a mask if needed. We will meet at the Khols parking area off Redd Road at I-10 at 8 AM to carpool/caravan to the Baylor Pass Road trail head north of Dripping Springs Road. We will leave at 8:05 am.
