Urban Wildlife Biologist, Lois Balin, with a Burrowing Owl

Walk to an artificial nest site for the burrowing owl in beautiful Resler Canyon. Your guide, Lois Balin, is our Texas State Urban Wildlife Biologist. She will talk about burrowing owl ecology and the need for artificial nest sites. Lois will also describe how to build habitat for the owl that works. Along the way you will look at other wildlife and plants. Use the Cadiz Street entrance to Resler Canyon. Cadiz Street (MAP) can be accessed from Sunland Park Road. Wear a hat, use sunscreen, bring water and good walking shoes.
