Visit Sitting Bull Falls, a desert oasis, for a one-day swimming trip. Sitting Bull Falls is a series of waterfalls located in a canyon in the Lincoln National Forest southwest of Carlsbad, NM. Bring food, bag of charcoal or a gas grill, food to cook, swimsuit/shorts, water shoes, snacks, drinking water/sodas/Gatorade, hiking shoes/boots, towel, change of clothes, utensils, plates, cups, and napkins. Meet at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in far east El Paso at 7 AM. (MAP) Leave promptly at 7:15 AM. You must RSVP to the field trip leader, Michael at 915-497-5883 or michaelrmr505@yahoo.com. If you decide not to go, please let Michael know. There is a $5 per car fee to enter Sitting Bull Falls payable to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Free if you have an Access Pass. It’s easy hiking. Dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash.
