Hike to the site of the 1954 B-36 crash and view the wreckage on the southwest side of the Franklins with El Paso County Historical Society First Vice President, Robert Diaz. Learn more about the history of the crash, and the crash of a B-24 that occurred on the eastern slope of the mountains several years earlier as well as military exercises in El Paso the and preservation and maintenance of these sites. Meet at the top of Stanton Street at the El Paso County Historical Marker recently dedicated in honor of the 60th Anniversary of the incident. This is a difficult hike of 4 to 5 hours.
