Take a moderate 3-miles round-trip hiking tour and focus on native and non-native plant and animal life. Learn about changes in the natural environment from Spanish Entrada to the present. Meet at Leasburg Dam State Park Visitor Center. Map at www.emnrd.state.nm.us/SPD/leasburgdamstatepark.html. There is a fee of $5 fee per vehicle. Bring at least two quarts of water per person, good hiking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellant. Wear a hat and a long-sleeve shirt.
