See desert birds: Pyrrhuloxia, Black-throated Sparrow, Curve-billed Thrasher and soaring raptors. Then go to the bird blinds in the Tom Mays Unit to see Cactus Wren, Canyon Towhee, Scaled Quail and Gambel's Quail. Meet at the El Paso Archaeology Museum, 4301 Transmountain Rd. in Northeast El Paso. The group will then caravan to the Tom Mays Unit. There is a $2 fee or use your Park Pass. Bring a lunch and water, binoculars and a bird guide if you have them. This event is sponsored by the El Paso Trans Pecos Audubon Society and is open to nonmembers and beginning birders.
