A History of Nature and Man at Leasburg Dam State Park

Take a moderate 3-miles round-trip hiking tour and learn more about the natural and cultural prehistory and history of the park. See the unique geological, riparian and cultural aspects of the area. Meet at Leasburg Dam State Park Visitor Center. Map www.emnrd.state.nm.us/SPD/leasburgdamstatepark.html. There is a fee of $5 fee per vehicle. Bring at least two quarts of water per person, good hiking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellant. Wear a hat and a long-sleeve shirt.
