Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park

The hikes are free and for the anniversary there is no charge for the event but visitors wanting to ride the Tram will have to purchase tickets at $8 adults and $4 children. 1700 McKinley Avenue, El Paso, TX.  Questions: contact Diana Moy 915-562-9899


JANUARY

 First Day Hike

Tuesday, January 1st 8AM

We will hike up Directisimo trail to Ranger Peak and then down through Thousand Steps trail.

Meeting point will be at the Thousand Steps trail (4999 N Stanton St.), from there we will carpool to the Tramway to hike up, and after the hike we will carpool back.

Participants must bring: plenty of water, sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing, snacks (optional), walking sticks (optional).

This hike is rated as strenuous.

 

Jr. Ranger Day

Friday, January 4th 10AM @ Tom Mays unit (next to the Nature trail)

Participants will learn about Leave No Trace, animal adaptations, tracks, etc.

The program will be free, however park entrance fees apply.

 

Women Hike

Sunday, January 6th 7:30AM

We will hike Thousand Steps trail to the guard house and back, will be a short and quick hike.

Meeting point will be at the Thousand Steps trail (4999 N Stanton St.)

Participants must bring: plenty of water, sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing, snacks (optional), walking sticks (optional).

 

Geocaching 101

Saturday, January 26th 10AM @Tom Mays unit
