Sunday, May 26th 7:30AM

We will be hiking up Directisimo up to the ridge and then back; plan on 2.5-3 hours round-trip.

This hike is rated as strenuous.

What to Bring:

  • Plenty of water

  • Sturdy shoes

  • Sun protection

  • Weather appropriate clothing

  • Snacks (optional)

  • Walking sticks (optional)

Bees, Bats and other pollinators!

Friday, May 31st 10AM to 12PM

Join us to learn about our local pollinators and build a butterfly feeder or a bee hotel!

This program will be at Tom Mays unit of Franklin Mountains State Park; entrance fees will apply.


JUNE

National Trails Day - Hike & Yoga program

Sat. June 1st 7AM

The plan is to hike to the observation deck, do some yoga, and hike back down. Space is limited   

for this event, participants MUST contact me to sign up.

Participants need to bring water, sturdy shoes, sun protection, weather appropriate clothing, a yoga mat.

This hike will be 4-4.5 hours long, rated as strenuous.


Women Hike

Sun. June 2nd 7:30AM

We will be hiking to bench #4 at the ridge and back down.

Participants need to bring water, sturdy shoes, sun protection, weather appropriate clothing.

This hike will be 3-3.5 hours long, rated as strenuous.

 

Snake Program

Sat. June 15th 9AM-11ish

This program will be at Tom Mays, in the bird blind area.

We will be talking about snakes, what to do if we come across one, their benefit to us and the ecosystem, etc. 

 

Jr. Ranger Days - Nature Journaling Program

Fri. June 28th 10AM-11:30AM

This program will be at Tom Mays in the bird blind area.

We'll go for a short hike on the Nature trail and participants will make their own nature journal and take notes   

during the hike.
