June 9th | 8:30 Am | Rare Plant Tour | Max group of 10

Join us on a tour of the plant life located in Hueco Tanks SP&HS. Check out the Comal Snakewood, a member of the Buckthorn family that can only be found here in Hueco Tanks and nowhere else in the U.S.A! Call (915) 857-1135 for reservations.


June 9th | 9 Am | Women’s Hike | Max group of 25

Join us for a woman hike at Hueco Tanks, explore the site with a female ranger or volunteer and learn more about best hiking practices in the Chihuahuan Desert. This tour is open to women with all levels of experience and offers breathtaking view of El Paso and the surrounding mountains. Hike will be limited to 25 participants. The cost is $9 per adult 13 and above and $2 per child ages 5-12. Please call for reservations as they will be required. To reserve please call (915) 857-1135

 

June 9th | 9 Am | Tai Chi on the Mountain | Max group of 15

Do you want to relieve stress? Join a Tai Chi instructor for a morning of exercise. Tai Chi has been shown to also increase balance, flexibility and strength, perfect for those hikes on the mountain. This tour is limited to 15 participants and reservations are required. The cost is $9 per adult. To reserve please call (915)857-1135

 

June 14th | 8:30 Pm | Hueco Tanks Stargazing Party | No Max Group

Join Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site staff a night of stargazing, stories, and planetary viewing. Visitors are welcome to bring their own binoculars and telescopes, but it is not required. There will be no reservations for these events. Groups will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and we will cap visitation at 100 people. Gates close promptly at 8:00p.m., no exceptions. Cost is $9 per adult ages 13 and over and $2 per child ages 5-12. Please make sure to bring weather appropriate clothing, water, snacks, and blankets and chairs if so desired.

 

June 23rd | 9 Am | From the Roots to the Fruits | Max group of 10

Learn how Native Peoples used plants to survive in the Chihuahuan Desert. Join a Certified Master Herbalist and Master Gardener for a look at how Native Peoples utilized the plants of Hueco Tanks to make food, medicine, clothing, tools, weapons, and so much more. This tour is limited to 10 participants and reservations are required. The cost is $9 per adult 13 and above and $2 per child ages 5-12. To Serve please call (915)857-1135
