Guadalupe Mountains National Park

119th Christmas Bird Count - Saturday, December 15

Join us for one of this nation's longest-running citizen science projects and help discover new species of birds in Guadalupe Mountains National Park at the Christmas Bird Count.

Bird lists and instructions will be available at the Pine Springs visitor center. To participate, meet at the Cholla Chateau (on below map) at 6:45 a.m. to form observation teams, coordinate routes and conduct field work until 4:30 p.m.

Observations three days prior to and after the official event will be tallied as part of the official Bird Count; any recorded sightings in this week can be submitted to the Pine Springs visitor center staff (7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MST). MAP
